We love and miss you Mom but we know you are with Dad and that's what you have always wanted.  Please give Dad  love, hugs and kisses from me.

You two were the best parents anyone could ask for. XOXOXO
The day you drifted off to heaven  was very hard to accept.  I always hoped you would be able to speak once more to say, I Love You before you had to go.  I do believe the weekend before you were trying to speak to me but the words just would not come out.  Instead, the day the Lord called you,  you looked directly in my eyes as I sang to you.  A tear rolled down your face and you continued to look into my eyes and drifted off to heaven.  It was as if you were telling me how much you loved me and  thanking me for all the special years we had together.  Your three daugthers were surrounding you with love as you let go to see the Lord and our wonderful father, Patrick.    You went through alot in the last 5 years and you were the strongest women I know and now you deserve your quality of life in heaven.  For I know, you are no longer in pain and you are happy to be with your family again.
The day you passed away and the following days after you left us so many signs to let us know you had arrived in heaven.   Like the night of your departure when Joanie got home she found this plate by Sandra Kuck in her mailbox (Heaven's Peaceful Starlight) and then the following day after making the funeral arrangements she went home to find the same plate in her mailbox again.  Needless to say, she bought both of them and gave Diane and I one which we hope to get both plates personalized in memory of you.  Joanie also received 3 memorial cards from The Society of the Little Flower the day you passed away.  They were Memorial Membership cards from St. Therese of Lisieux which you know Mom was Daddy's all time favorite Saint whom he always prayed to.  It's almost like Daddy sent them to his three little girls.
Just some little signs from up above, to help us grieve the one we love
The morning after you passed away,  I was awoken by music blasting at 6:40 am.  I searched the house to see where it was coming from and it wound up to be the stereo upstairs which Diane had set for 7:00  for a Cyndi Lauper song but instead at 6:40am the song by one of my favorite singers, Celine Dion "I'm Your Angel" was playing.  I took so much comfort in that since I know your watching over me.  I only wish you would of waited till a little later in the morning Mom but I thank you for that. (Update 2002)  Everytime things seem to get rough for me I listened to this song and I know my mother is still with me.  She's my angel.
On Nov. 9, the day of your funeral it was raining and was very dreary.  After the mass, they drove past our home for one last time and as they drove down the street the sun came out and there was a path of sunlight to the cemetary.  Sure enough after the service was over at the cemetary and we started our journey home the clouds began to form and it became dreary once again.
Finally when I was thinking about how I was going to do your memorial page (besides the given thanks page in your memory)I went searching the web for some ideas and never found what I wanted.  Then just the other day a man that I don't even know sends me an email inviting me to visit his page so I did.  As I went through his pages, I came across a "Letter From Heaven" and went to the authors page.  This poem really touched my heart and I felt as if you guided me to this page Mom,  to let me know everything is going to be okay.  I then wrote to the author of the poem,   Ruth Ann  and asked for her permission to use this poem here and she gladly let me use it.  Thank You Ruth Ann, this poem gave me and my family so much comfort.

"Letter from Heaven"

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me
