San Carlos Seminary, the Archdiocesan Seminary of Manila, located along the busy stretch of EDSA in Guadalupe, Makati, is home to priests, seminarians, religious sisters, and lay people who are joined by a common desire to live a life of committed service to the Church, the people of God, amidst the challenges and hopes of our world today. Founded in 1702, San Carlos has formed countless bishops, priests and dedicated laymen who, throughout its 300 years of existence, have been faithful sons of the Church and ardent servants of God's flock. Today, under the patronage of Saint Charles Borromeo, pioneer of seminary formation, and with the guidance of Jaime Cardinal Sin, the archbishop of Manila, San Carlos Seminary serves the need of the local church by training and preparing future pastors through an intensive program of formation.
