On April 25, 2006 Lt. Gen. Stephen Dill Lee Chapter 34 UDC and Gen. William Barksdale Camp 1220 SCV will jointly sponsor the 140th Annual Celebration of the original Decoration Day at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Mississippi.

The speaker, a most ardent defender of our Southern Heritage, H K Edgerton needs no introduction.
All UDC members, SCV members and those interested in Southern Heritage are invited to attend.
The program will begin at 4:30 sharp.

The Ten Island SCV Camp, The Friends of Janney Furnace, and the Calhoun County Commission, invite you to join us on Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2, 2006, at Janney Furnace Park.
Over 300 Civil War re-enactors will perform each day at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday Morning, at 9:30 A. M., the Ten Island Sons Of Confederate Veterans Camp, 2678, and the Alabama Division Civil War Re-enactors, will have a joint memorial service in honor of our Confederate Ancestors.

On Saturday night, you are invited to be our guest at an old fashion barn dance, in our new barn located atop Janney Mountain, behind the Confederate Memorial.  The esteemed 5th Alabama Regimental Band will provide entertainment.  
Please come, have fun, and show your pride in your Southern history and heritage.
