| Saluki Club of Western Australia Some *FIRST* achievements |
| There have been many *breed first* achievments for WA as a state.. The very first Show Champion, the first Best Exhibit in Group, the first Best Exhibit in Show (all breeds), the first Aust Grand Champion, the first Obedience Champion, the first Agility Champion : and the list goes on. This next section is to show you some of these Wonderful Achievers. |
| Aust Ch Farousi Sea Mist - Bred in WA by Mandy Manley Smith. "Misty" was the first Saluki to ever win a BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW at an all breeds championship show. She was just 15 months old - in 1978 at the Fremantle Dog Club Show. At that time she was the youngest Saluki in Australia to have the award. Shortly after that she became an Australian Champion. |

| Barkhill Moon Flower. CD. ET. Bred in WA by Fred Barrett. "San'aa" took a 'double' FIRST. In 1989 she became the first Saluki in WA to be awarded the obedience title of CD. In 1990, she became the very first Saluki to attain the Endurance Dog title in all Australia. |

| Aust Gr. Ch. Sihaan Sheik Shahudin - Bred in WA by Graham and Trish Ellis. "Sheik" was the very first Saluki in WA to gain the newly designated GRAND CHAMPION award. Sheik also won 5 Best in Show awards during his show career. |
