Some Of My Poems.....
These are a few of my original poems that I particulary like. Please enjoy them, and if you would like to comment on them, there is a comments button on my first page.
GIVING AWAY MY TRUST

Let my arms drop to my sides, numb.
Grab my ribcage,
One by one,
and slowly stretch them from my body,
till the tightness of pain twists my face.

Squeeze my lungs,
push them up so that they block my breathing;
it shall be ragged and sharp.
Hear my cry of pain,
but the blackness in my eyes does not match.

My cry is loud and full of anguish.
My eyes are dead, with no emotion.

I told you the ways of my heart,
I gave you the greatest gift of life -
trust.

You gave me the gift of happiness,
because I believed you cared.
You took it back.
Pulled it from me as hurtful as separating a Mother
from her child.

You wrenched my heart from my chest,
snapped it back and did it again.
Over and over,
'till it was hanging there by some bloody shreds.

You left it there as torture,
left me open and wounded.
Vulnerable to all.
You were my Mother,
my Doctor,
my Lover
and my Destroyer.

Along with this pain
you gave me a sparkle.

You were my teacher.

You taught me I didn't need you
or another man to sew my heart back together.

I will take the needle and thread and do it myself.
The pain will be great.
Maybe the greatest I have ever had to endure,
but it will set me on my course and make me strong.

I will sew it tight,
so no man can pull it out again.
They will only care and nurture,
but not tear.

It's sewn in place,
sore but strong.
