| I highly recommend this book for anyone who wish to know more about poetry writing and appreciation. It's as good as a formal course without paying the same amount of money! Learn about the history of poetry, formal writing techniques and rules, tips and ideas on writing poetry (generating ideas etc). |

| Highly entertaining read about the development of war and warfare. This book reads like episodes from the Discovery Channel -- you have to read it to know what I mean. This is not just a book "for the boys". I've gained insights to the rise and fall of Greek/ European civilisations, the descent into the Dark Ages, the development and demise of the Arab/ Muslim era... quite like a concise History of the World. |
| An audio CD with selected love poetry of Rumi, read by celebrities like Madonna, Demi Moore, Goldie Hawn, Martin Sheen and others. Didn't think this was so great though a friend rated this highly. I felt Madonna's rendition was the best. BTW, Rumi was a philosopher/ poet/ mystic who lived in 13th-century Persia and founded the Whirling Dervishes of Sufism. He was supposedly murdered around 1248 C.E. |
