2004 Annual Knight Mason Banquet
It would be remiss to not include the house beverage used in our Banquet on this website.  Indeed, one might even suggest it would be criminal not to do so.  Knight Masonry and the "Green degrees" keep alive the unique elements found in Irish Royal Arch Masonry.  And although the Grand Lodge of North Carolina, A.F.&A.M. may frown upon and actively discourage any connection between the consumption of alcohol and Freemasonry, that is not the case with our Irish cousins, or our English and Scottish Masonic brethren for that matter.

Therefore, dear Cousins, we ask you to charge your cannons and raise them in a toast to our beloved Masonic fraternity; and also to our  brethren, both to those who are with us and to those who are in that grand edifice on High, not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens.

The wines used in the toasts come from the local vinyards and winery of Duplin County, North Carolina.  The red wine used is Hatteras Red, a light sweet muscadine vintage.  The white wine  used is Scuppernog, a late harvest dry muscadine vintage.  A Scuppernog Blush, which is produced from a blend of traditional scuppernog and muscadine, is also offered by the winery, as is Magnolia, which is produced from a mid-harvest dry muscadine; and Carolina Red, a late harvest muscadine red.  They are all presented as toasting vintages with our highest recommendations.
