Inuyasha escapes the bottle, but is tied up by the tree roots. The sage finds Kagome and knocks her unconsious. Kagome wakes up to find herself naked and sitting in a tube of green liquid. Inuyasha finds her a turns away embaressed and gives Kagome his shirt to wear. The sage puts Kagome's jewel shards into his bellybutton and his skin becomes like stone. Inuyasha and the sage start fighting, but Inuyasha isn't winning because he is still in human form. Inuyasha and the sage fall off the ciff and Kagome starts crying because she thinks Inuyasha died because he was still in his human form when he fell. But the sun rose while Inuyasha was falling so he got back up and asked Kagome why she was crying.
Sango returns to her village to repair her boomarang. When she gets there two girls, Satina and Suzuna, want to be demon slayer apprentices, but there true motive is discovered when they break into the weapon room and steal all the weapons. But the girls don't know that he weapons are giving off a demonic aura and attracting demons to them. Sango goes after them and is attacked by the demons too. Inuyasha and co. show and save Sango.
Tsubaki, a Dark Priestess, is given Shikon jewel shards from Naraku. In return she must destroy Inuyasha and Kagome. Tsubaki places Kagome under a curse and controls her. Miroku and Sango go off to find Tsubaki and stop her. Inuyasha stays with Kagome. Tsubaki forces Kagome to shoot an arrow at Inuyasha and Naraku wonders whether Inuyasha will leave Kagome to die or if he will stay with her and be shot by the arrow.
Inuyasha and Kagome go to find Tsubaki. Kagome is still under the curse. Inuyasha starts fighting Tsubaki, but can't draw his sword or Kagome will die. Kikyo shows up and threatens Tsubaki, that if she harms Inuyasha in any way, she will kill her personally. Kikyo tells Tsubaki that Inuyasha's life belongs to her.
Kagome is still under the curse and is dying. Kagome is having a strange dream in which she is back in the present and she sees Kikyo there who is an archery teacher. Kikyo asks Kagome who she really is. She asks Kagome if she's Kikyo and tells Kagome don't be like me or you will end up killing Inuyasha again. Kagome tells she is no one but Kagome. Kagome wakes up and Tsubaki sends her demon after her. Kagome reflects it back at Tsubaki, like Kikyo did 50 years ago. The curse has ended, but Tsubaki escapes.
Tsubaki returns to the place she trained to become a Priestess and meets two other Priestesses there. Tsubaki sends them after Inuyasha and co. to keep them busy. The two priestesses attack Inuyasha and Kagome with huge dolls that look like them. Inuyasha and co. easliy defeat them and go after Tsubaki.
Inuyasha and co. catch up with Tsubaki and find that she has released a giant ogre and fused with it. Inuyasha uses the Backlash Wave and defeats her. Kagura takes back Tsubaki's jewel shards and leaves.
Inuyasha and the others defeat a weak centipede demon and later on in the night are possessed by something who turns out to be a friend of Myouga.
Naraku's barrier is weaking for some reason. Kagura finds out that Koga is close by and goes to steal his jewel shards. Kagura injures Koga pretty badly. Kagura then wanders off without giving Naraku the jewel shards. Kagura is thinking about how she can escape Naraku. Then she gets an idea. Sesshomaru! Would he help?!
Kagura goes to ask Sesshomaru if he will kill Naraku and that she would give him the jewel shards for it. Sesshomaru doesn't want the jewel shards and tells her that if she wants to be free of Naraku, she should kill him herself and that to betray him. She should be ready to die for it. Koga and Inuyasha take the jewel shards from Kagura, but Kagura has seen Inuyasha in his human form and knows he changes on the night that there is no moon. Kagura returns to Naraku and thinks he hasn't noticed her betraying him. But he finds out and gives her one last chance because she promised to never to it again.
Shippo recieves a challenge from the last thunder demon because of the the deaths of the thunder brothers. Will he be able to defeat the last thunder beast?!
Naraku lets loose a man with no face and this man goes around stealing faces!
