| Located on the Southeast side of Texas, one of our borders (South side) runs along the Gulf of Mexico while the East border runs along the Sabine River as well as the border of Louisiana. WHO ARE WE? We are ___ girls and ___ adults in 9 counties in ___ troops and in ___ schools*. We are in San Jacinto Council of Girl Scouts which serves more than 63,000 girls and 18,000 adults in 25 counties in Southeast Texas. We are part of Girl Scouts of the United States of America, which serves over 2.7 million girls and over 928,000 adults in all 50 states and abroad. And... We are part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, also known as WAGGGS, which serves approximately 10,000,000 girls and adults in 145 countries worldwide. * "school" - does not include many smaller private / homeschooling schools. |
