The Night We Spent on the Lake
This group of friends from LaFollette, TN, spent the night on an isolated bank of Norris Lake in 1940.  The pleasure boat on which they were riding became disabled, and they were forced to spend the night on the shore.  The back of the photograph is entitled, "The morning after the night before".  There are 13 people in the photograph and 11 full names and 1 partial name written on the back. With the help of Helen Margaret "Peggy" (Carr) Saulsberry,  we identified all but one.  They are:

FRONT ROW, L>R:  Paul Bailey Francis, Sr., Caroline (Summitt) Francis, Alfred Saulsberry, Peggy (Carr) Saulsberry, Lillian Jaffee, unknown;
MIDDLE ROW, L>R:  Katheryne Taylor, Miona Claiborne, Bill Gallaher;
BACK ROW, L>R:  Ed Balloff, Jerome Templeton, Russell Claiborne, Jim Tipton.

The unknown man in the front row on the far right is the 13th person whose name was not written on the back of the photograph.

Does anyone know the 13th person whose name is not shown or the 14th person who took the photograph?  If you have an answer, please
e-mail me.
