We live in Cleethorpes and have a daughter, Helen, living in Liverpool and a son, Keith, who lives in Leeds.

A bit about each of us

TED was born in Lincoln and lived near there until he went to Leeds University and studied Chemistry and then did a PhD in Food Technology. He worked in the Food Industry for many years and then more recently spent 11 years as a retail Newsagent. The business was sold in September 1999 and he is now enjoying his freedom. He has recently been elected Chairman of the Grimsby/Louth group of the Ramblers' Association.

JOAN was born in Liverpool and lived in Huyton until she went to Leeds University to read Chemistry and she met Ted. She worked in the Chemical and Packaging industries for seven years and then did the old-fashioned thing and gave up work to raise the family - Helen and Keith. Subsequently she has done lots of things including Advice work, being a Librarian, helping to run the business and until recently she worked very part-time as a Property Clerk.

HELEN went to Liverpool University and did a BA in Accountancy, soon realising that she would hate being an accountant. She still lives in Liverpool and works as Development Officer for an educational charity. Her violin is gathering dust somewhere (the only remaining historical record of her playing this is the pictures on Andy's website - oh yes and we have a tape of a previous band - Dining with Len. ) Helen is very involved with Writing on the Wall - Liverpool’s annual writing festival.

KEITH has worked in Leeds for several years. He has a PhD in Maths and does complicated things that we don't understand with computers. He's in the Banking sector. In summer 2003 he married Kate, who also has a PhD Maths, and works in Sheffield doing computer programming. Our little granddaughter Alice Olivia was born on 28 February 2005.

We've started on the mammoth task of scanning in all our old slides - the plan being to save them all on a disc so that they don't deteriorate. We're having great fun looking back at all the old photos of Helen and Keith when they were small and in time more will appear here. Meanwhile I couldn't resist posting this one.

Here is the youngest member of the Johnson clan - Dominic, David and Sarah's son, born 10 August 1999. The first picture was taken a couple of months before his second birthday and the second one a year or so later.
