| Rocky started learning the art back in 1982 from instructor Mr. Kris Kum who was then a national player in Leng Kee Taekwondo Club. After passing his black belt grading and completed the instructor course organised by Singapore Sports Council, he taught TKD in Henderson C.C., Delta C.C. and Singapore Police Acedemy. He took part in the Team Pattern and Hand Destruction events in the 1996 International Taekwondo Hanmadang held in Korea. Now, a 5th Dan NROC and PA registered instructor, a 3rd Dan Black Belt in World Taekwondo Federation (Kukkiwon Certificate), he is teaching the art in Bishan Community Club and LTA. The class in Bishan CC starts from 8pm to 10pm on every Thursday. Rocky is also a Wushu fan, currently an assistant instructor in "Shao Lin Huong Chwien Athletics Association". The Huong Chwien lesson starts from 8pm to 10pm on every Tuesday at the courts across Khatib MRT Station. |
