Pop Culture!
Welcome to Pop Culture for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students at Sugiyama Women's University in Nagoya, Japan taught by Suzanne Bonn. It's going to be an awesome semester! I hope you will enjoy this course! If you have any questions, please email me.
Course Description: This integrated skills course is designed to improve language and critical thinking skills through the study of American pop culture as well as looking at pop cultures of other English-speaking countries. Through discussions, readings, analytical and reflective writings, video viewing, and Internet searches, students will learn about what's new and hot in the United States. Course topics include: slang, music, movies, television, Internet, fashion, and Hollywood. See course syllabus.
