עסק ביש – סיפורו של בני.

We were ordered to drive to the field, put up a tent and wait for

additional orders.

We drove there on two jeeps, 4 men on each. We were all rookies, with

the exception

of one officer on the second jeep.

"We arrived at 6pm, and started preparing the tent. About 15 minutes later

gun-fire has started. We took cover behind one of the jeeps.

The officer ordered us not to return fire, and contacted someone using the radio.

Then, he told us that we were not to fire back at any cost,

due to the cease-fire. One of us was briefly hurt.

At 7pm hostile fire has stopped. Two of us drove away with the injured

one, while the rest stayed.

Later we were told that the people who shot at us were palestinians. The

same people, were caught after they fired at a civilian bus. In that incident,

so we were told, 2 civilian were severely injured.

If only we were allowed to fire back, we could have saved the 2

civilians and our fellow soldier who was briefly hurt.
