Dive Trip Report
Dive site:
Seymour North
Dive 1:
Water temperature: 20°C - 22°C
Bottom time: 39 minutes
Max. depth 75 ft.
Drift dive.
Equipment checkup dive.
After getting a briefing on the conditions of this dive site, we all get our gear on, and  jump up to the pangas.  Before the panga started, we all check for mask, weight belts, fins, and air on, this check up list become familiar, the following days.
Once we were on the dive site,  the dive master counted to three and then all, at the same time jumped into the water. Water was calm, once we entered to the water and everybody signed ok, we started going north, as planned. Viz. was not very good, at the beginning, but we all forget about that when a sea lion arrived, and he was around us for 10 minutes, going up and down. Suddenly at the middle of the dive, a cold thermocline brought us a better vizibility, but also it was like if we were looking through a special effect lense, it was like 3ºC colder water, and was getting warmer. at the end of the dive, during the safety stop i saw 2 white tip sharks at 40 ft. dept.
The nice conditions of this dive, and the encounter with the animals made me feel more confident with the team, and the way dives will be for the following days.
