| Week 3 |
| This was the worst weekend I have had yet. I was miserable all weekend. I slept all day Saturday, even missed a party. Anyone who knows me knows I was feeling lousy to miss out on a party. Lee went to the store and brought back all my favorite things: Oysters and crackers Bottled Water Powder Suger Donuts Never let it be said that I am hard to please. I got up Sunday and thought I was feeling pretty good, but after getting dressed and looking at myself in the mirror, I decided I would make little children and old men cry if I showed up at church looking like that, so I just went to bed and slept until about 5:00. Got up, had dinner and went back to bed. Monday, went to work, felt like pssssttttthhhhh all morning. About 11:45, it all passed and I began to feel really good again. Got a lot done. My mouth and throat are completely covered with cankers. That is the worst. The nurse from Be In Charge just called me and told me that it sounds like I have Oral Thrush which is more than just cankers, it can only be treated by a prescription. She said I need to call the doctor right away. It happens when your immune system starts to get weak. Ain't that lovely news. I'll call the doctor in the morning. |

| BIG NEWS!!! Not so good news. It turns out the sores in my mouth are a fungal infection. I have had to stop treatment temporarily while they clear up the infection. I had blood tests today to see what is going on. Dr. Sand said it is common to take people off the treatment to clear up a side effect. I should be back on next week. Lee and I discussed changing doctors and it is such a hassle to do it, that we are not going to. I will stay with Dr. Sand and simply acknolwedge that he has no bedside manner. Lee took the entire day off to chauffer me around. I was glad he was with me to help me make wise decisions. So, again I wait. Didn't even make it 3 full weeks. |
| Today is Monday, November 4, 2002. I have been told to go back on the treatment now that my mouth has healed. I will start on Wednesday so my weeks remain as calculated. I guess that makes this STILL week 3. |
