I met a little fairy
Where the forest rivers flow.
She was so very merry,
As she flickered to and fro.
She sprinkled me with fairy dust
I sneezed and I did wince.
And at that moment, yes, just,
I've ne'er been the same quite since.
For I've walked
through countless rainbows
And rode a unicorn,
I've tickled a
desert dragon's toes,
And awakened every morn.
Awakened with a sense
of magick,
Light, and laughter,
and love
An' no matter how life
seems so tragic(k?),
That fairy dust lifts me above!

Who knows where they came from? Does it matter?
Maybe they were
angels that God threw out of heaven
because of their pridefulness.
Maybe it was that first baby's first laugh that brought them into being.
Maybe they came from another world, got stuck here.
Doesn't matter.
All I know is that they are here,
and if you believe,
you will have a most magickal of events happen to you:
you will meet a fairy!
