This was a bad performance on a miserable night.
We started badly and quickly conceded the first 2 goals in the match. Paul almost immediately hit back and we came within one goal of them to 2 - 1. Due to the conditions we conceded 2 soft goals, because the ball spun of Dave’s gloves and trickled into the corner of the goal. At this point the match went downhill & we collapsed, at half time we were 7 - 3 down and facing an uphill struggle.
The second half we defended more resolutely and although conceded further goals, I was please with our 2nd half performance, as we held our own. Goals from Paul, Alex and James made a good game of this
Overall M&P did well, they are not the team we beat 3 seasons ago, but this match summed up our season. |
