I am writing the first review of this season, in disgust at the quality of refereeing that was seen tonight. There was one glaring decision that stood out from the rest, in one instance they had a throw on, the rules state that it should be rolled on, underarm. The opposing player through the ball straight to the keeper and the 'referee' allowed it, but when we had a throw that went a tiny bit of the ground, it was a foul. Please can someone explain to me how hard it is to become a ref????????
Anyway to tonight’s game, with James away doing things in the Lake District, Dave’s brother Paul stepped into replace him. The match overall was patchy and at one point we had a 3 - 1 lead, but another collapse like a house of cards, meant we went into half time losing.
We played well for parts of this match and goals from Alex and 2 from both Paul’s meant that we made a game of this. This wasn't the worst performance I have ever seen and these have been relegated from the division above.
I think this will be another tight season and there’s always next week. |
