The first thing I am going to say about this match is what a game!
We started badly by conceding 4 goals in 10 minutes, at this point I envisaged a collapse and I am proud to say that this didn't happen. Once we went behind it spurred us on and by half time we were only 5 - 3 down, with Alex and Tom getting the goals (I think).
In the second half it was like we were a different team, we poured forward and created chance after chance, we should have put more goals past the diamonds, but in their defence they also missed a few chances. In the 2nd half goals from Alex, James, Andy and the last minute winner from Paul sealed this victory.
I'm not quite sure what happened to Alex's shooting in this game, but it is irrelevant now as we got the result. There were good performances from everyone in the team, with me & Tom doing well at the back, Dave making some superb saves in goal, some touches of class from Paul and Alex and lots of hard work from Andy & James.
Overall it was a good game and I think the result was well deserved. |
