This was another cracking result that people outside the Sharp Shooters didn't expect. The coordinator that runs the event was in shock that we had been beaten them, hopefully we can keep it up.
The match started well by us going 2 goals up, we then conceded 2 quick goals and eventually went into half time with a 5 - 2 lead. The 2nd Half we were more solid and scored 2 more goals without conceding. Paul scored a hat-trick, Alex got a couple and I scored a goal for a 4th week in a row (its all a bit strange to me).It could have been more, had Paul not embarrassingly missed a penalty, but it didn't matter in the end.
Everyone had a good game and things are looking up. With an almost guaranteed 3 points next week, as SBU appear to have pulled out, we will be in contention for promotion in the final week of the season. Depending on results and goal difference, we could be promoted to the first division.
Overall it was a good game and it was a good result. |
