| SS 2 - Southend Galacticos 2 24th May 2005 |
| This was a disappointing result only 2 match’s into the season. I would just like to say that all though this sounds bitter, if we had played the Chronic team that drew last week to the Slimeys we would have won this. The Chronic have now recruited a couple of people from Atlantis and the old keeper from the Slimeys, they should definitely go up now. Anyway to the match, we quickly went 2 – 0 down and pulled a goal back, at this point I thought we had a chance of coming back into it. Unfortunately this didn’t happen and we went into half time 7 – 2 down. The 2nd half was better and we looked much tighter at the back, but by that time it was too late. For what its worth, Me, Andy, Tom & Paul/Alex scored the goals tonight. Overall this was a poor match, it’s been a long time since we have been dominated like we were in the first half. On to next week and hopefully we can take our frustration out on RBS. |

| This week although the Sharp Shooters were back in the country, we only got home 20 mins before kick off, therefore started the match with 3 players, Paul, Tom & James (GK from Spartans). By half time we were 6 – 0 down and at this point we had a 4th player. The match finished 10 – 5 and Paul was made player of the week for his hard work and endeavour. The rest of the team were put up or the award, but apparently only 1 person could get it. Next week we will have a full team for the first time in a month. |

| SS 20 - Southend Galactico's 1 30th August 2005 |
| The start of the new season has arrived and we began with Southend Galctico’s. We had previously played them on 2 occasions and hadn’t beaten them either time. The entire match was complete domination through out the night with the Sharp Shooters in complete control. The match started well with 4 goals in 5 minutes, including the quickest hat trick I have ever scored and a strike from Andy. We continued to attack, pass and move almost like professionals. To equal the speed of my hat trick, Paul also scored one in 5 minutes in the 1st half. Dave didn’t really have much to do in this half and was mainly a spectator. At half time we were 10 – 0 up and cruising. The 2nd half started in the same vain of form with 10 more goals, including 2 cheeky back heels 1 from Graham and the other from Paul, possibly not necessary but why not?! The Galactico’s solitary goal came half way through the 2nd half so the score doesn’t look quite as bad. The goals in this match were me (6), Paul Maddison (6), Spanton (3), Paul McFadden (3), Graham C (1), Andy (1). Overall a good display throughout the team, which left Dave with nothing much to do and us looking like an attacking force. A good performance by everyone and to date this is our biggest ever victory, hopefully we can change that against 5-Alive next week. |
