| Sharp Shooters v Tetrilis |
| SS 7 - Tetrilis 7 - 15th June 2004 |
| This was a great game to watch for a neutral spectator, but not for the teams and supporting fans (I'm talking about Jon). We started the match by going 4 - 1 up and went into half time with a nice lead. The pick of the goals from the first half, was a cracking shot by myself into the top right hand corner of the goal, the keeper never moved. The 2nd half started badly as we collapsed and went 6 - 5 down, which in previous seasons would have defeated us. We fought back and brought the score level twice after that, to 6 - 6 and 7 - 7. I scored a scrappy goal and Andy managed to squeeze one in at the near post (but it wasn't a fluke), to ensure we got a point. There were decent performances by everyone. Overall this was an interesting match and I feel a point was probably deserved after the contribution of both teams. |

| This match was played with a virtually different side, as everyone apart from Alex & Tom was in Zante for 2 weeks. The team was sorted out be Alex and this loss was due to a lack of keeper. Both goals of the night were scored by Alex, the 2nd apparently quite decent. |

| SS 3 - Tetrelis FC 11 15th Nov 2005 |
| This week we played Tetrelis FC in another tough game this season. The match started badly for us after we conceded two quick goals due to a lack of marking, before we managed to score our first goal of the night. It was a nice strike from Spanton after a mix up Tetrelis defence. At this point I thought that we would get back on our game and pull it back, but alas we conceded another 4 goals before Paul pulled one back to 6 – 2. To round off a cracking half we conceded an own goal after Dave pulled off a great save, but bounced in off Paul. The 2nd half started in the same way with us not closing people down and making an ordinary team look very good. The only bright part of the 2nd half was Spanton scoring his 2nd of the game, after a nice pass from myself. We conceded another 4 goals this half to collapse to our biggest defeat of the season. Overall a poor performance and one which we deserved to lose by the margin we did. We made the mistake of believing that we could beat anyone and we didn’t close people down, mark people and our general display was terrible. Every cloud has a silver lining and in this case it proves that we are not infallible. Onto next week against Metrows FC. |
