Partners have access to software within selected Product Focus areas as well as many other web-based resources designed to enhance your value proposition, broaden your opportunity and extend your reach in the marketplace. Certified Partner - As your business grows with Oracle and you prove your skills in delivering Oracle solutions, you may apply for an upgrade to Certified Partner level. You will receive an increased level of personal interaction, promotion and benefits from Oracle. Certified Advantage Partner is our highest membership level. Certified Advantage Partners consistently demonstrate their commitment to Oracle. You will receive the highest level of recognition, engagement and dedicated account management when you reach this level.

Partner Categories

Oracle embraces all types of partners delivering resources and benefits that align with your business model and relationship with Oracle. Oracle's four distinct Product Focus and Specialization Areas address these different partner models and allow simplified access to information based on your interests. Included are selling and marketing resources, training and certification resources, technical resources and support, development resources, and business discounts and rewards that help partners, regardless of size or market reach, create unique solutions across the broad spectrum of Oracle platforms and applications.

As a result of Oracle's recent company acquisitions, our partners have historically received varied levels of education benefits as part of their respective partner program memberships. PeopleSoft and Siebel instructor-led courses were available to partners on a scaled discount of 0-10%; PeopleSoft online courses were offered to partners for a fee; and Oracle training products and services were available at a 35% discount, with unlimited free access to online training.

Beginning July 24, Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) will standardize its Education benefit at a 25% discount on all Oracle University products and services across all product lines. Additionally, all online courses available through the Oracle University Knowledge Center will continue to be available for free to all OPN members.

Q: Is the change effective immediately?
A: No, to protect your current investments, the change becomes effective the next time your company renews its membership in OPN on or after July 24, 2006, or upon the renewal of your OPN Education Discount Agreement.

Q: Is there any specific action my company needs to take regarding this change?
A: No. When your company renews its OPN membership on or after July 24, 2006, or upon renewal of your OPN Education Discount Agreement, the Education benefit discount change will go into effect.

Q: How does my company ensure we receive the 25% discount on all Oracle University products and services?
A: Once a partner's OPN membership is activated, Oracle sends a notification with your OPN discount agreement number. To receive your education discount, you must provide the OPN discount agreement number when purchasing any Education product or service, online or via phone. Once this agreement number is validated, your order will automatically receive the 25% discount. You must provide your OPN discount agreement number at the time of placing your order, otherwise your order will be charged at Oracle list price. Make sure you maximize your OPN discount and that you take advantage of all the free online training. 

Q: Can I retain the 35% discount by purchasing Oracle University Learning Credits?
A: Yes. You have 30 days after your OPN renewal date to purchase an unlimited number of Learning Credits from Oracle University at a 35% discount. The purchased Learning Credits are then valid until the expiration date of your OPN agreement.

Q: Does this affect my access to online training?
A: No. We continue to provide thousands of hours of online training at no charge. This is a tremendous value to Oracle's partners since some other technology companies charge for online training. The Oracle University list price for the OU Knowledge Center Passport is $1000 per user, but it is included in our OPN Education benefit free of charge to OPN members.

Q: What if my company has Learning Credits issued with the 35% discount?
A: Existing Learning Credits remain at the 35% discount level and expire on their termination date.

Q: Who in my company can use the OPN Education benefits?
A: The Education training benefits and discounts provided to OPN member organizations are designed to support readiness and effectiveness for partner employees in their roles using Oracle technologies external to their organizations. Education training benefits and discounts are not intended for OPN member employees supporting the internal use of Oracle license products. These discounts and benefits cannot be extended to provide training to customers.

Q: What about Siebel and PeopleSoft courses newly offered to partners in OPN?
A: Partners who wish to develop competence around our new applications lines will be able to apply the new standard discount of 25% to all Oracle University training product lines.

Oracle is announcing that as of May 31, 2007, Oracle will no longer offer this as a benefit to OPN members. To see your company's remaining web conferences, follow the instructions below..

Since initially offering this benefit through OPN, Oracle has released
Real-Time Collaboration (RTC), a new class of services that allows users to communicate instantly using text, voice, or conference. These enterprise-ready services include presence awareness, instant messaging, web conferencing, and voice. With the purchase of RTC, you will have the expanded, industry-leading class of offerings, supported by Oracle's award-winning Support Services. Certified level partners can purchase RTC at a 30% discount for internal use.
