In very short order, I had constructed something that looked a lot like a boat. The steps went so fast that I forgot to take many pictures. The bottom panels were stitched on using plastic wire ties. Epoxy putty is used to fill small gaps between the panels and then the joints are covered with a 4" wide piece of fiberglass tape. Once the hull panels were complete, I glued in the daggerboard box and seat tops using the same methods. |

In the picture at the right, you can see where I installed the mast step. This is the base that the mast will sit in when sailing. I went way overboard and wasted a ton of epoxy gluing in the step. The huge blob got so hot while it was setting that it started to smoke! | ||||||||||||||||
