We had a very fun day of Youth and Children's Activities at
TYGER HUNT 2005!
In the morning, we played a few simple games, tried out Whip Tops, and played with Clay Marbles, a Marble Arch, and other wooden toys.

Later we built castles with mini marshmallows, vanilla frosting, Bugle chips, pretzel sticks and toothpicks. A troop of Cub Scouts hiked through and we invited them to join in the fun!
The Best Part of the Day was the Children's Quest!
Children (and Youth) were beseeched to go on a Quest to rescue
Baron Byron's Bairn, Barrett
(bairn is another word for baby)
from the
Dangerous Dreadful Dragon (Ahhhhhhh!).
The Quest was filled with a great many tasks: Questers had to Prove Their Worth (find a tree with medallion's hanging from it -denoting them a participant in the Quest!); "Take a Potty-Break" (a chamberpot filled with tootsie rolls!); Groom, Train and Name a Noble Steed (Hobby Horses that were oiled (groomed), ridden in figure-8s (trained) and labeled with horse and quester's name); Defeat the Dangerous Dreadful Dragon (Ahhhhhhh!) (firing foam arrows at a 3ft tall dragon painted on a board); Rescue Baron Byron's Bairn, Barrett (a doll dressed in fine garb); Seek the Tyger's Treasure (A treasure chest filled with bubblegum coins and wooden tops that was protected by a Tyger dartboard) and much more!
