The internet has opened up so many ways of improving the care and education I give to children and given me the opportunity to meet some other wonderful providers all around the world.
As you can see by the links I have gathered I draw on many resources but by far the best link I ever discovered

was to Punky's Childcare Connection. Punkys Childcare Connection is designed for home day care providers, centre workers, parents, teachers - anyone who cares for young children. It hosts a very active message board that allows us to share ideas and thoughts as well as frequent chats every day of the week, supporting us in making friendships and contacts. There is a bi monthly newsletter and webpages of ideas and assistance for people working with young children. Best of all it is completely free! I am a Family Day Care Carer in Sydney , Australia. I have been a home provider since 1998. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) and have worked as a teacher in a K/1 classroom and was also a Director/Teacher of a 40 place centre until the birth of my daughter. I became a daycarer as this allows me to combine my love for kids with a need ofor income..lol.It also allows me to stay at home with my daughter.
