First Generation
          1.  Benjamin Vernon was born in PA June 26, 1773.  Benjamin died November 10, 1810 at Washington Co. PA, at 37 years of age. Death date hasn't been sourced.
          He married Sarah Harry in Chester Co. PA, 1795.  Marriage reported as: "mou and recorded at Kennet MM, January 14, 1796.
          Sarah was born in PA abt 1775.  Sarah died May 22, 1861 at 85 years of age.  She moved July 1, 1796 in Redstone MM Fayette Co PA.  Sarah was a Quaker member in Westland MM Washington Co PA, July 31, 1807. 
          They moved July, 1796 to Fayette Co. PA, (reported in Redstone MM Fayette Co PA).  They moved July 31, 1807 as reported in Westland MM Washington Co PA.
          Benjamin Vernon and Sarah Harry had the following children:
                 2         i. Ann Vernon.  She married ______ Smith reported  in Westland MM Washington Co PA, January 25, 1821.
    +          3        ii. Hannah Vernon was born 1801.
                 4       iii. Elma Vernon was born (January 15) 1803.  Elma died October 9, 1850 at 47 years of age.  Her body was interred Oct 1850, Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Lippincott, Morgan twp, Greene Co.PA.  She married David Bell in 1826, reported "mou Westland MM Washington Co PA, July 7, 1826 ".
    +          5       iv. Jacob Vernon was born February 26, 1807.

 Second Generation
 
          3.  Hannah2 Vernon (Benjamin1) was born in PA 1801.  Hannah died January 12, 1879 in Belpre Washington Co OH, at 77 years of age. 
          She married John Sharpnack, in 1820, as reported: mou Westland MM Washington Co PA, January 27 1820. For more details see SHARPNACK.
          5.  Jacob2 Vernon (Benjamin1) was born in (Greene Co PA) February 26, 1807.  Jacob died May 22, 1889 at Corning Adams Co. IW, at 82 years of age.  His body was interred May 1889 at Oskaloosa Mahaska Co. IW, Forest Cemetery.  Jacob was a hatter and farmer by trade. Jacob died in Corning, Adams Co. IW, buried in Oskaloosa IW in Forest Cem.Jacob was born in Greene Co. PA and moved to Monroe Co. (OH) after his marriage. He stayed there for thirty-three years then moved to Oskaloosa where he remained until he died on a visit to his daughters in Corning.
          He married Catherine Smith at Washington Co. PA, May 10, 1829.  Catherine was born May 9 1805.  Catherine was the daughter of Sylvanus Smith.  Catherine died January 9, 1882 at 76 years of age. 
          He resided at Calais, Monroe Co. OH 1829-1862.
          Jacob Vernon and Catherine Smith had the following children:
               13         i. Lydia Ann3 Vernon.  She married William Lowery at Calais, Monroe Co. OH, October 5, 1856.
               14        ii. Sylvanus Vernon was born January 26, 1833.
               15       iii. John Vernon was born at Calais, Monroe Co. OH April 10, 1836.  John died March 3, 1869 at 32 years of age.
               16       iv. Sarah Jane Vernon was born at Calais, Monroe Co. OH 27 January 1838.  Sarah died January 25, 1904 at Corning Adams Co. IW, at 65 years of age.  She married James Thornton Mercer at Calais, Monroe Co. OH, October 5, 1856.
               17        v. Alma Vernon was born at Calais, Monroe Co. OH May 8, 1840.  Alma died February 27, 1882 at 41 years of age.  She married Dr. Whorton at Calais, Monroe Co. OH, 11 March 1857.
               18       vi. Catherine Vernon was born February 26, 1842.  Catherine died 1910 at 68 years of age.  She married A.F. Okey October 14, 1865.
               19      vii. Jacob Jr Vernon was born January 3, 1844.  Jacob died January 20, 1844 at less than one year of age.
               20     viii. Carlton Hulet Vernon was born at Calais, Monroe Co. OH August 22, 1845.  He married Mary Lou Louisa Jones December 18, 1872.

6. Benjamin²Vernon (Benjamin), was born in 1811, PA. He married Cynthia ______, 1832, as reported in Westland MM Washington Co PA, February 22, 1832.  He married Lucy Ann Fisher, December 11, 1870, Wirt Co. WV. He was listed on the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Census as living in Elizabeth, Wirt Co. WV Census. He was a farmer and a miller. Death unknown.
Benjamin Vernon and Cynthia __________had the following children:
               21         i.  Martha Vernon was born about 1832 in E. Bethlehem, Washington Co. PA. She married Lewis Rogers, April 7, 1856 in Wirt county, VA (WV).
               22        ii.  William Vernon was born about 1834, Washington Co. PA.
               23       iii. Sarah Vernon was born about 1837 in Wirt Co. VA (WV). She married Thomas Hopkins, May 22, 1860 in Wirt Co. VA (WV).
               24       iv. Almira Vernon was born about 1839 in Pennsylvania (according to her marriage record). She married Owen J. Morehead, December 18, 1862, Wirt Co. WV. He was born in Wood Co, WV, resided in Wirt Co.
               25        v. Martin V. Vernon was born about 1840, VA (WV). He married Margaret C. Wiseman, March 18, 1867 in Wirt Co. WV.  
               26       vi.  Emma Elma Vernon was born about 1841 in Tyler Co. VA (WV). She married J.B .Maxwell, November 28, 1864, Wirt Co. WV.
               27       vii  Mary E. Vernon was born about 1845 in VA (WV). She married Brainard S. Dulin, April 29, 1874, Wirt Co. WV.
               28      viii  Virginia Rebecca Vernon was born about 1847 in VA (WV). She married S.F. Comfort, March 18, 1869, Wirt Co. WV.
               29         ix  Jesse F. Vernon was born about 1851 in Wirt Co. VA (WV). He married Mollie Wiseman, December 17, 1874, Wirt Co. WV.
