Ghana, along with most of the Western Coast of Africa was filled with slave trade. On of the fortresses still left standing today near Cape Coast reminds us of the atrocities of the past so that we don't repeat the same mistakes. |

Activities at the orphanage after a time of singing and praising God. We played outdoor games and filled the orphanage with crayons and paper after a puppet presentation! Some of our favorite songs and the children's favorite songs included "Many Melodies" and "Higher, Higher." |

The local church we worked with needed some work and wo we dug in and helped to cement the walls and paint them as well! It was hot dirty work, but we loved it! (I didn't acutally work in a skirt, that was just for the picture!) |

Three to four times a week we held open-airs or crusades in different communities that the local pastors asked us to speak at. We boldly shared the message of Christ and promoted the local church ministry as we jointly worked to reach the community. |

Always looking for traditional dress, we met a woman who was an evangelist and made batik to fund her ministry. These beautiful patterned fabrics were made by her and then taken to a seamstress friend of hers so that we could fit into our environment. |
