Benin is the birthplace of what is now known as voo-doo. While its practices have changed, many people are still steeped in the beliefs of their ancestors. Sacrifices are made in temples and many believe that curses and blessings will come to them from their sacrifices. The Christian pastors work hard to lead people from these false beliefs and to help them step out of their spiritual and material poverty. Miraculous accounts of healings and power encounters are not few as God continues to make Himself known!

Sierra Leone was terrorized by war for ten years. Rebuilding is now occurring, but the effects of the war are still easily seen as you wander through the streets filled with broken down buildings and high unemployment rates. The Anastasis was docked in the capitol city, Freetown for three months offering reconstructive surgeries for those who qualified. They also worked through community development to train and rebuild.

Ghana is filled with Christian emblems and sayings, but the country is still in need of Christ. Christianity has been mixed in with other animistic beliefs and there are many who have not heard! In a land filled with life and enthusiasm we ministered among orphans, prisoners, the sick and many villages. Our days were filled with open-airs and continual meetings with pre-believers.
