Kas'Ralin and Quatre did not meet a death where they exploded like dropped eggs on the bottom of some cliff.  Instead, they landed after a surprisingly short fall on a thick rug, covering a smooth floor.  Kas' sat bolt upright when he realized just what the floor was made out of.  "Shadowstone?" he asked in surprise.

"That's right, foolish ayasha!" Imati's voice hissed.  Before Kas'Ralin could fully gather all his bearings, the demon pounced at him, eyes glowing red, wicked, curved talons extended, wings outstretched.  Kas' scarcely had time to brace for the attack before Imati was on him.

Quatre looked around, and suddenly spotted Duo and Wufei in a corner.  Duo had pulled Wufei over there to keep him out of the majority of the fight.  Duo's eyes brightened a bit when he saw Quatre come over towards them.

"So now you don't still think I was the one who raped you, I hope."  Duo said without preamble.  His ribs hurt like hell, and he figured a few of them, at least, had been broken.

"No...I know it wasn't you, Duo.  By Allah, I'm sorry...I never should have doubted you.  It's just..."

"I know, I know.  None of us were even closed to ready to deal with somethin' like that.  If the situation was reversed, I reluctantly would have had no choice but to blame you, Q.  How were we to know about somethin’ with all this magic and shit?"

Imati was completely and totally ignoring the other bishounen and was devoting his entire self to causing damage to Kas'Ralin.  The braided angel struggled, but Imati was much stronger, and it was a losing battle.  Imati snarled, baring his fangs at the near-helpless angel.  As it was, Kas'Ralin stood no chance.

"We can't just let him die!" Quatre said mournfully.  He wished Imati would just get pitched off Kas' and hit a wall or something, and Quatre wished it fervently.

He was a very surprised Arabian when it happened just like he envisioned.  Kas' was shocked as well, as were Duo and Wufei.  Imati seemed rather surprised too.

Kas'Ralin narrowed his eyes in Quatre's direction, then they flew wide.  "You have psionics!"

"I have what?" Quatre asked, confused.

Kas' stood up.  "Psionic capabilities...mind-magic if you will.  You possessed a slight form of it even in your mortal world!"

Duo suddenly grasped the situation.  "Hey, Q, it's that uchuu no koroku thingy of yours, multiplied by a million!"

Imati drug himself to his feet, more annoyed than wounded. His rage had briefly slid from its former goal of the ayasha, the angel, to this blonde mortal psionicist.  Imati stalked forward, eyes blazing red.  Quatre made a small noise, and fear was in his eyes, but he didn't back down. "You're mine!" he hissed before springing.
