Quatre sighed as he twisted the doorknob. It had been a long mission. He let out a startled yelp when the door was thrown open. Wufei stood there, his eyes red as if he had been crying, a suitcase in hand. Quatre looked at him startled. "Fei-chan! What's all this?" he asked, but Wufei pushed past him and ran out the door. Before Quatre could say anything else, Wufei's motorcycle revved up and tore out of the driveway.
Quatre ran inside and saw Heero heading down the hall to his own room. Something didn't seem right...Quatre noticed a piece of paper on the table, with his name on it. He snatched it up and opened it.
Quatre,
Gomenasai. I refuse to stay here, where I was used. Duo was in bed with Heero when I returned...and I thought he loved me. Guess not. Don't plan on seeing me again.
Chang Wufei
Quatre stood there in shocked silence for a minute, then decided he had to do SOMETHING about all this. He went to Duo's room and opened the door. Duo was curled up under his blankets, hair damp from a shower. Quatre frowned and sat down. "Duo."
Duo flinched at Quatre's tone of voice. "Hai, Quatre?" he managed to ask with some semblance of good cheer. Quatre didn't buy it.
"Duo...why did you cheat on Wufei?"
Duo's heart almost stopped. "Nani? What are you..."
Quatre cut him off. "You know what I mean! Duo, Wufei left, he's gone! He...he saw you and Heero a bit ago. Why, Duo? He loved you so much!"
Duo's heart shattered. // No, no no no! He saw us and thought...oh gods... // "No!" Duo cried, breaking into tears. This wasn't exactly what Quatre expected, but he ran over and wrapped his arms around Duo. Duo sobbed heart-brokenly.
"Du-chan...what..." Quatre guessed something wasn't quite right. If Duo WAS just using Wufei, why would he be THIS upset?
"I'm not sleeping with Heero." Duo whispered, sounding very scared and VERY upset.
"Duo..." Quatre said softly. "Wufei says he saw..."
"No!" Duo whispered urgently, still sobbing. "Quatre, it wasn't an OZ soldier!"
"Nani? Duo, what's that got to do with anything?" Quatre asked, confused.
Duo was shaking from fear, pain, and sorrow. "It wasn't an OZ soldier that raped me!" Quatre's eyes flew wide.
"Na...Nani?! Duo...what..." Quatre was trying to process this information. "Duo...who...oh my dear sweet Allah, you don't mean..."
"Heero...every time you left us alone, every time, over and over, it hurt so much, always hurt so much..." Duo sobbed, clinging to Quatre desperately.
"Duo, why didn't you tell anyone?" Quatre asked.
Heero's voice came from the doorway. "Because I told him I would kill him." He said, then shot Duo and Quatre.
