Wufei scowled as he pulled back into the driveway.  // Oh well...I'll just be in and out...not like Duo's gonna see me walking past...Quatre might try to stop me, but I really must uninstall that tracking system I set up on Nataku...I don't want them finding me... // Wufei climbed off his motorcycle and was quietly padding up to the door when he heard two gunshots in quick succession.  He broke into a run, throwing open the door.  A surprised Heero turned on him, swinging his gun around.

Instinct took over and Wufei dived into a roll, came up, and kicked the gun from Heero's hand.  Heero cursed violently and backed up a step.  Wufei caught a glimpse of Duo and Quatre and shrieked in rage.  They were both slumped over, Duo on his bed and Quatre on the ground, both bleeding from gunshot wounds.  Duo had been shot towards the right of his chest, and Quatre had been shot almost dead in the center of his shoulder blades in the back.

"K'so!" Wufei yelled, whipping his attention back to Heero, barely managing to dive out of the way as Heero swung a chair at his head.  Wufei didn't know where the chair came from, and hadn't realized Heero was so fast.  With another curse, he leapt out of the way.  Heero threw the chair at him, then leapt forward.  Wufei didn't have time to think.  He grabbed the gun, aimed and fired twice.

Heero staggered backwards, crashing into the wall and sliding down, leaving a bloody trail smeared on the wall in his wake.  Wufei blinked, then swore.  Heero half-lay, half-sat on the floor, unconscious or dead, Wufei knew not which.

Wufei wasn't very concerned about Heero, though.  He ran into Duo's bedroom, rapidly checking for a pulse on both bishounen, and was amazed and overjoyed to find one.  Wufei yanked the phone of the hook and called for an ambulance, then sat down to wait. He looked at Duo, who was breathing shakily, looked at Quatre, who was barely breathing at all, and then waited for the ambulance to arrive.

It was the longest wait of his life.
