Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the absolute best thing in my life (aside from accepting Jesus Christ, of course), to date: ERIC!

Romping in the backyard with Sitoshi and new member of the family -- Sam (who follows me around like ... well, a puppy). We rescued Sam from the humane society the same day Reggie died, hoping that the companionship would help Sitoshi to heal. He's certainly helped Eric and I in that vein. Reggie will of course be dearly missed, but we're glad Sam's come to live with us.

Yay playtime! Sam's spent more time with me since we brought him home, so he's imprinted on me and follows me around diligently, whether I want him to or not. So, we're trying to socialize him to Eric and ensure that he'll respond to Eric. We're looking forward to setting up a little agility course in the backyard and training Sam to work through it. We're also trying to figure out how to train him to do other jobs around the house, such as taking something from me and giving it to Eric, or fetching the paper or something like that.

First he taught me to shoot a handgun, then this day, it was rifles. I don't remember what size they were or what caliber, but I was a pretty good shot, considering. :) I'll add another page someday with more about that. It'd be kinda fun to shoot competitively, though for now, just messing around out at the range for fun is good enough.

I know, cheesy, but I couldn't help myself. He's just got such a cute butt!!!
