| 08/21/2006 * Mom's on her way here. She flew down to Austin Saturday to visit Graham and Amy, then will come up to Wichita Falls to spend a couple of weeks with me and Eric. Hopefully, we'll get a lot of house painting done when she's here. * Still can't believe I'm/we're married. :) 8 months already?? Where did the time GO??! * Sam's been enrolled in a local dog-training class, so hopefully he'll be a bit easier to control soon. He's a super-fast learner, I just don't know how to speak dog very well. I'm hoping this class teaches me as much as it teaches him! * Looking forward to the prospect of volunteering at a local vet hospital a few hours a week. It's a dream that just never dies, and maybe this experience will convince me once and for all, one way or the other. We'll see... * Did you know white gold isn't really white gold and the white wears off? Yikes! I didn't! So, I've had my wedding rings re-dipped in rhodium (which apparently reacts with yellow gold to make it white) at least once already. I'm sure it'll have to be done several times throughout my life. But it's so pretty!! :) * Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes the past couple of months. Dad's passing hasn't been easy for any of us. You all know how close we all were. I try to remember that he's where he needs to be and God has control over all of it. I miss him dearly, but I know he's in a good place. |
