December 5th - on the long way home

Hey. What with Christmas nearly upon it seems like a good time to let you know what's been going on these past few months. Myself, Andrew and Lloyd took at trip to london to take in a Mountain Goats show, which was pretty great. David's house down there is equipped with the smallest flatscreen tv and a drum kit from a skip. We visited the british museum and played some kind of monkey bowling. I came a convincing last (despite a strong finish) as the monkey in my ball was badly out of shape, it's a tough situation to be faced with. As for Bryn, he's got a fine new guitar and has been enjoying the soothing sounds of a Flock of Seaguls.

We have one show planned for the holidays on Friday January 6th at Bar Academy. It'll be our first show when we've all been legal to play the venue, so that's something new. We'll also have new songs, which we'll keep working on from next week sometime. Ok so keep in touch, here or at MySpace, if we dont see you before have a Merry Chirstmas, Happy New Year, the whole deal. later. ReLPh

October 8th - ain't much to rake anyway

Boy did that summer go by fast, too fast to update as we went along really so i guess you'll just have to settle for a post game summary. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the shows over the summer. It was great to see some new faces, also great to see the SEF faithful. We weren't really firing in all cylinders til the last show i thought but i hope you enjoyed which ever one you attended. We played in Nottingham last friday with Seachange and Distophia, which went well. See the olden gigs page for more details and a link to some fine fine pictures.

The Volts Show session got delayed as we couldnt make it to Swansea on the date we were meant to play but we did get round to recording a session and it should air in a couple of weeks, keep an eye out here and on myspace for more news on that. Once it's aired i'll put a couple of tracks up on myspace in case you miss it or have trouble listening online. The new cd is progressing well. We got 3 songs finished or near as, writing will carry on for the next couple of months then hopefully it'll be ready to record at Christmas or thereabouts, see how it goes. It's sounding good so far, will be worth the wait. So that's about all for now, keep those cd requests coming if you dont have one. Always feel free to drop us a line on the message board. take care, catch you later. RaLPh
February 5th - Days of Rain

Sup. Thanks again to everyone who came out to the Bar Academy, take a look around for a couple of pictures from that show/gig reports/news of the dvd...etc...plus i finally got to put some pictures up from last summer. We're continuing with writing. New songs so far include 'Fly Bone' 'Wet Ender' and 'Sturt and I say Hi!' (an acoustic version of which can be found on the myspace page) and there's some stuff without names. They'll hopefully be flying your way sometime soon. For now, we might have a Birmingham show at the end of the month but it's not for sure yet, you'll be the first to know if it gets confirmed. over and out. RaLPh
