How The Band Was Formed: |
The Band was first started in 1999 by Quinn and Jack. They played some covers and just jammed the 2 of them for like 2 years in Quinn's Dad's Karate Club (The Kill House). In Febuary of 2002 they found a drummer in there grade and had him come play for them. After one practice they were able to play quiet a few songs. Quinn quit the band he was apart of on the side and made a full-time commitment to the new band. The band went on for a few months wihout a name Quinn had mentioned the name "The Greatest Band Ever, Kornelius and The Flyig Space Cadets". After a swift "Shut up Quinn" jack was quick to dismiss his comment (and say how gay it was). Then one day when the 3 of them were waiting for their bus their currnet drummer said 'yo we need a name, somthing like...... 'SPANK' ', and it stuck. The guys went on playing as SPANK, for several months. In April of 2002 they decided there music just wasn't complete. They asked Pj to come play for them. He left the band he was curently in and came and played for them as a second guitarist. The band then seemed whole. |

Mid October rolled around and there was a bit of a disagreement in the band. The current drummer wanted to play 'Death Metal' and Jack, Patrick, and Quinn wanted to play Punk. After like 2 weeks of trying to comprimise... their old drummer decided he wanted to play "one or the other and it can't be punk," and that was when we decided to go our seperate ways. |

Since then, The 3 guys left in the band found a new drummer (ten minutes later), Gordy. And the band was now whole again. |
At around the end of november about 60 other bands were discovered with the name Spank. The guys decided not to keep the name since it was so unorginal. After several months of name searching the guys came up with "Short of guilt". Many of the other names got the aproval of all the guys but this was the only one which all of them thought best suited the band. |

Short of Guilt is now past their series of obsticles and is now ready to play some punk music for all you fans out there! |
