At the end of every season we would have theTeam banquet. For almost twenty years the banquet was held at a local Dartmouth pub called "The Walker House" which was part of the "Old Mill Tavern." This Bash was for active players and alumni.These functions were strictly for the guys. We used the pub's food place mats to keep track of the night's events. This was the beginning of the "Team Scrolls."
On each year's scroll we listed such things as the names of the people who attended the Bash, the cost of draft beer, which was $1.00 per glass in 1984, and the names of the people who won the Bash "dart" or "shuffle board" tournaments. On the scroll the Bash attendees also wrote a little anecdote about the year's ball hockey season or their experience at the Bash. Some years we needed more than one scroll.
In 1994 we changed our Bash location to the "Bull's Eye Pub" in Bedford. The change came about because the pub was owned by Derek Spinks who was the husband of the lady who was currently supplying us with trophies. This location had excellent food and friendly service.
By now the Bash Scrolls were more representative of the team. The scroll had The 6 Pack logo on it plus an assortment of pictures that showed hockey sticks, gloves, balls, etc. In 2001 the "Bull's Eye" closed so the Bash has been held in other locations.
