Oh, Great Gods,
Bless this child.
Let (insert name) know your mystery
without fear.
Let (insert name) dance your dance
with laughter.
Let (insert name) sing your song,
with boundless joy.
Let (insert name) know your touch.
Let (insert name) know your smile.
Let (insert name) know your Earth and Sky.
So Mote it Be!!!
I hope you enjoyed the above poem as much as I did when I first ran across it. Please don't ask me where that was, I really couldn't tell you. Like the Christian "Guardian Angel" prayer before bedtime, perhaps the above could become your Pagan "Guardian Gods" ritual for your child's bedtime. This way, no matter the circumstances, your child can say he says his "prayers" before bedtime.
