Well alot has happened since the last writing. I have been diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome that was kicked in by FSGS = Focal Segmental Glomeruelsclerosis Tip Lesion Kidney Disease. Which gives you the wonderful high blood pressure/high cholesterol and edema. I get bad headaches, cracking fingertips, exhaustion, a cough, steroids, meds in the morning and night, low salt/low protein/low cholesterol diet and apparently kidney breakdown within 10 years. Renal failure. Chronic kidney disease. They dont know how I got it or how to actually treat it.
My son is still sitting at home doing nothing but talking on the phone, playing on the computer, and lying to me about going to school. My daughter is the most shining bright light I have in my life...without her I would be nothing. I wouldnt fight this disease at all if it weren't for her.
I finally got an extra client so I don't have to work an extra job anymore that was really killing my edema in my legs. I also changed my primary doctor over to a different one that hopefully cares more than the other ones especailly my supposed "specialist" of kidneys. I call to tell them about my screwed up side effects that are hurting me and they never call back. Nice huh? So when I get my primary visit I am asking for a 2 opinion and another doctor. Thye just don't care here in the desert. They should be happy to help you since you are the one bringing in the money to them...but no they ignore you and tell you here take this medicine and good luck. So here is to hoping that the new doctor cares.
Things change, people grow (except my son...) and time just goes on at a snails pace. I have to have shoulder surgery next month...I will be the one arm bandit! I have 2 weeks off with rest and relaxation....did I fool you with that one? I have been watching alot of tv this summer...QUEER AS FOLK, Six Feet Under, 4400, Dead Zone, Monk, movies out my brain, and I have DSL....WOOOTWOOT!! My daughter and I took a picture this past week  ....isnt she the cutest?? My daughter, not me....I just love her soooooooo much!! She starts high school next month and I am in denial over this!! She is growing up!! WWWaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!
Well I am down to working in the lab and working with the clients now. I dropped TS and school for awhile. I just couldn't do all of it anymore.
My daughter has rec'd straight A's and is on the principal's honor roll!!
My son...let us not talk about him. Beast of burden.
It is fricking cold here in the desert and in my home. I will not turn on the heat because it is to expensive. So I have a heating pad on my feet and I am sitting here trying to figure out how I can save more on electricity and gas. Next I am taking the tv out of the living room so those freeloaders will not sit there and watch tv all day and night. Next I am removing the glasses and plates from my kitchen. I am done with these boys living in my home using my utilities and stuff. I AM NOT THEIR MOTHER!
Finally rec'd the computer lab tech position. I have it for a year with benefits. I am still working 3 other jobs also on top of it. I sell Tastefully Simple Gourmet Food,fix computers (virus removal is my specialty apparently)and I also work part time with developmentally disabled adults to instruct them on how to live independently.
My kids are both going through teenagerville.....CRIPES!! I thought they were needy as babies but sheeshlouise!! They are really needy as teens!!!
My cat family has grown into 3 now. I have Ebony, who is my oldest and my familiar, Ozzie who is just like OZ from BTVS...very quiet and not dominant unless he needs to be, then the new edition is Xander, also named after a character on BTVS, a light colored orange kitten with green eyes...he is always into something and wants everyone to love him!! So we named them the right names, huh?
