| Assignment 3 Go to the following site and review the Rubric for Grading the Five Paragraph Essay It is important that you review the entire rubric. Your essay will be graded by this rubric. Choose one of the sample questions from the site below and write your college entrance essay. The essay must follow the five paragraphs guideline you learned in assignment 2. The typed copy must be double spaced. Make sure you save your work to your network folder. You may also save a copy to work on at home. A rough draft will be due at the end of your second day. Common Essay Questions: What Will They Ask? In groups of twos, students will exchange hardcopies of their rough drafts. You will critique and score the other group members rough draft based on the scoring rubric. You will need to print a copy of the rubric to write your scores and suggestions on. You will also need a red pen to write your remarks on the rough draft. Members of the group will discuss their remarks and reasons for rubric scores. After this discussion you will use these suggestions and critiques to correct and polish your final essay. Your final copy will be due one day after your rough draft has been returned. You will read you final essay to the class. You will turn in your rough draft with the critiques, the scored rubric of the rough draft and a hardcopy of the final essay. |
