In a Path of Destiny

In a path of destiny
Different things would be.
You and me;
together would we be.

In a path of destiny
I would look into your eyes,
take your hands in mine,
and know the love we would share
would be top of the line.

In a path of destiny
The love would only grow.
There would never be a time
where you did not know;
Just how much I love you so.

In a path of destiny
Into my arms would you melt.
Then would the love itself be felt.
Easily again I would lose myself in your eyes.
And the depth of my love would you truly realize.

In a path of destiny
From my heart would I admit to you this;
My longing to caress with my fingertips
and taste your soft sweet lips.
While we share a deep passionate kiss.

In a path of destiny
Embraced in your soft caress;
Something profound to you would I confess.
My confession would be from the heart
straight from that which you would have won.
Of my days of pain and fear you would bring freedom
And with one more soul bearing kiss, never to be outdone
from there and forever two would become one.

The First

All those years ago, the first you were for me;
The first girl ever to make my heart skip a beat.
To this day I remember how it raced;
When for the first time I looked upon your face.

When I looked into your brilliant blue eyes
my body and soul nearly became hypnotized.
Surely they would have, had I not looked down;
You don't know how easily into your eyes I could have drowned.

Butterflies in my stomach, when I first saw your smile.
To have it be for me, I would have walked a mile.
The best thing about that magical smile I must say,
is that it never once failed to brighten the darkest day.

How to explain the feelings I once had for you;
Until a few years ago, I never truly knew.
Later on in life I pondered what it was you had done to my heart.
I discovered it was exactly what I had then thought.

Through my ponderings I saw with clarity what it was.
The name for those feelings was something I knew nothing of.
Now I know without a shadow of a doubt what that feeling was.
Now I know that that wonderful feeling was love.

The Way I Feel

Through these words I hope to reveal
The way my heart, body, and soul for you feel.

The darkness of the world turns into light,
when you're merely captured within my sight.

The way my heart rate begins to rush
just by your soft, gentle touch.

The way my soul is bombarded with bliss
with a kiss from your sweet, tender lips.

All of those things to me you do
for that and much more I truly love you.

Blink of An Eye

"Goodnight Daddy." A little girl said
as her father finished tucking her into bed.
Not in a million years would she have guessed
that the next day she would learn what was death.

"Have a good day dear." Said a man
before his wife left for work in the family sedan.
He never suspected as he turned on the weather
that his teammate for life would be gone forever.

A woman said "Feed my cat while I'm gone."
to her roommate as she left for work at the crack of dawn.
That morning it was impossible for her to predict
that her roommate’s orphaned cat would she inherit.

"Talk to you tomorrow" is what the woman typed
As she finished chatting with her friend that night.
Little did she know of her on-line friend in New York
that the next day she would perish in her place of work.

All of those people and thousands more have something in common.
In one day they all lost or became lost to someone.
All those people and more share something the same.
All of their lives were irreversibly changed
when people went and did the unthinkable with airplanes.

With 9/11 and other events in mind.
Please go ahead and take this time
to tell your loved ones just how important they are in your life.
You never know; You or someone you love
could be gone in the blink of an eye.

I Miss You

A few years have passed since you’ve been gone.
Even more time has elapsed since I last held you in my arms.

I remember everything as if it were only yesterday.
All the places we’d go, the things we’d do, and the words we’d say.

Now it’s all gone, finished, a thing of the past.
I know now how foolish I was for not holding on, not making it last.

I miss you dearly; Hearing your voice, seeing your face
But I know you’ll be with me always in my heart, in your special place.
