Socialist Action/Ligue pour L'Action Socialiste is involved in a variety of movements and labor struggles. Below is a list of links and info about a couple of the campaigns we are currently active in, and that we invite you to get involved with.

 Fight Back Solidarity Caucus
We are actively working within the new Fight Back Solidarity Caucus, which is an organization that has come together to connect rank and file labour movement activists and mobilize support around labour struggles.

   Anti-War Movement
Socialist Action is 100% opposed to the recent war with Iraq and the subsequent occupation. We encourage everyone to get involved in efforts to oppose the American occupation of Iraq. Click here for anti-war info from the Stop the War Coalition.

  NDP Socialist Caucus
In English Canada, the New Democratic Party is the only mass party based on organized labour. It is a liberal reformist party committed to a slightly more humane version of capitalism. We fully support struggles to win reforms but believe the NDP leadership has a pro-capitalist program that goes against the genuine interests of the partys working class membership and its voters.

A vote for the NDP is a class vote against the bosses parties. Likewise, we advocate union affiliation to the NDP, to strengthen the labour character of the party. Inside the NDP we struggle for socialist policies, for internal party democracy, and for a Workers Agenda including a commitment to mass extra-parliamentary action, is critical to the development of a socialist alternative to capitalist rule in this country.

As part of this struggle we support the NDP Socialist Caucus. For info about the NDP Socialist Caucus click here.

  OCAP
We support and are active in the struggles of the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty. To find out more about OCAP click here.

  Solidarity With Cuba
We stand in solidarity with the Cuban people and their revolution, and are opposed to the U.S. embargo. We encourage people to go to Cuba to see for themselves what Cuba is like, and to talk to the people. Towards that end we work with the Cuba Education Collective and the tours that it organizes.
