I'm a musician, an artist, and a poet living in the Blue Ridge mountains of southwestern Virginia. I now live in Floyd County. I grew up at the Jersey Shore and played in countless bands from 1964 until 1992, when I moved down here. I've worked as a tile setter on and off for many years, a draftsman for a civil engineering office, and a music recording engineer, among other mostly inconsequential things. I love to read a lot and I'm a student of philosophy and science, particularly astrophysics. I keep a journal to talk about my life but nowadays much of what I write gets written in an email message instead. Friends are important to me. I have many I would call friend. I like to keep in touch and delight in sharing in slices of life. Watermelon is one of my favorite foods, along with asparagus and chocolate. I love the smell of hyacinths and honeysuckles. I love the wind, it feeds me. I enjoy travel and adventure, mystique and raising the kundalini. I like bright colors, the quiet of mornings, contact dance, and tapioca. I almost never watch television, don't buy newspapers, and don't go to McDonald's or Exxon. Relaxing on a warm beach is blissful for me. I like to walk in the woods on a full moon night. Play guitar, beat a drum, go real far, have some fun.

I have a son, Shawn Sekaya, born 11/30/90, whom I am co-parenting with his mother. He's a joy to be around and I love him dearly.

I'm actually often a very private person and now that I think about it, I would rather not reveal intimate details in such a manner. Although, if I feel close to someone, it's not a problem to talk about my deep feelings; if you catch me in the right mood. I suppose, like most people, I'm a rather complex being and cannot reveal much about my true personal nature without it sounding contrived. Seemingly, a lesson in futility. I'm also open to the possibility of continual change so that my true nature is not to be pinned down by any trait of personality, tendency, or belief system. I continue to examine the beliefs, behavior and mannerisms which we culturally inherit and to understand in what ways I may improve upon these within the context of my own life. Every moment is another opportunity to learn, to grow, to love, to feel...

I was born Friday, February 5th, 1954, 4:42 a.m., at (now defunct) Perrin A.F.B. in Sherman, Texas. Astrologically, I have Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Pisces, with Capricorn rising, Mars and Saturn in Scorpio (whoa!), Jupiter in Gemini, Venus in Aquarius, Neptune in Libra, and Pluto in Leo. In Chinese astrology I'm a Horse (just made it by a mere few hours!) and in the Mayan Calendar my galactic signature is White Crystal Mirror (Etznab), guided by White Crystal Dog, with Blue Lunar Night in the occult position, Yellow Crystal Star in the antipode position, and Red Crystal Dragon in the analog position.
