Grandmas Wishes

Oh, my little Darling Pooh,
If I had wings what we would do.
We'd fly to clouds and climb the stars.
We'd rope the dipper and dance on Mars.

But, alas, since Grandma has no wings,
The stars we'll only ponder.
But, oh, adventures we will have,
Will set your mind to wander.

We'll study ants as they make trails,
We'll watch the squirrels make chatter.
The clouds as they go drifting by,
No troubles will they matter.

And if a moment makes us dance,
We'll march and twirl and we will prance.
We'll jump and spin and make up rhyme.
We'll sing a song forgetting time.

So until I hold you in my arms,
I'll think of you and all your charms.
I'll smile and hum and make up poem.
I'll teach you, my Darling there's no place like home.
