Ingrid was born near The Hague, in Holland, and came to Canada with her family in 1996. Ingrid's natural talent was encouraged during her early childhood and recognized by her school teachers. While still in High School, Ingrid sold portraits of horses an a commission basis. Ingrid has always painted a variety of sizes and mediums, but currently favours work in miniature.

"I enjoy painting detail. It is very peaceful and meditative work. I am drawn right into the subject that I am working on, and I know that because of this intensity which I apply to my paintings, the viewer is also inspirationally drawn into my work. I want to share the joy I feel about life....."

                "ONE-OF-A-KIND" show in Toronto, from 1992 until present.
                "Guest Artist" at numerous galleries in Ontario, from 1991 until present.
                "TORONTO OUTDOOR ART EXHIBITION" City Hall, Toronto 1992, 1993, 1998.
                Ingrid usually does approx. 10 shows a year.
