I am totally disappointed with Raqiya’s article. Raqiya in spite of your education and your claims of being a human rights activist yet you have failed to point fingers at your cousin Muse Bihi. Muse Bihi was the minister of defense during the ugly civil war in which many lives were lost.
Muse is well know for his famous poem “Anigoo wax dili karaya nabad qaadan maayee……”. Meaning: while I am capable of killing an Isaaq person, why should I take peace? Isn’t he a war criminal by his own words? It is ironic enough that today his own poem is haunting him, not to mention he might be prosecuted for his crime. Isn’t he the author of his own misfortune? His name doesn’t even need to be located in your book. Or because he happens to be Isaaq he is not an issue?
Let’s not play dirty politics and double standard.
There are many Isaaq people, who have slaughtered their own people, and even worse they are living in Somaliland today and they have the audacity to run for office. What should we do about them? How come you didn’t list their names? The bottom line is if you are going to dig the dirt you may not want to dig it too deep because any man/women who have integrity will stand up for what is right. Why MR. Riyaale’s name was never brought when Igal was the precedent? Why now? We the people of Somaliland have come a long way. We have achieved what many have failed to achieve. We well not go back. President Riyaale is the legitimate president of Somaliland.
Thank you. ( For your own information, yes I am Isaaq).
