Apples to Applesauce in about 10 Seconds
This is a story about firing my potato gun.
One day I realized that there were some apples in the kitchen that had passed their prime.
"What to do with these apples?" I said to myself, "Why, of course! I'll make applesauce!"
But, being lazy as I am, I did not want to invest a lot of time or effort in this, I could always just buy applesauce and get better tasting results.
"Aha!" I thought, "I'll get the good old potato gun, I haven't used it in a while."
And so started the saga of how to make applesauce.
I got out the trusty potato gun and realied that I needed to find a place to use it. Then I spotted the tree in my yard, the same one that appeared in the article about Long Leaf Pines.  That would be perfect I decided.

I decided to fire the apple at the tree and then scrape off the sweet apple goodness.
Both of the apples clipped the tree on the sides and careened off into the woods never to be seen again by human eyes.  They were probably eaten by a raccoon.
My first shot clipped the tree about here-------------------
Raccoons!!

Then I thought, "Why not add some seasonal flavor to the mix?"
-------------And my second here
A miniature pumpkin!
---That hit dead center!.
Apple----
----Apple
Pumpkin---
Unfortunately, my quest for applesauce was a failure, all I achieved was to spray pumpkin chunks all around the yard.  Oops.
The red circles are bits of pumpkin, they are spread up to 40 or so feet from the tree.
