Everything
began in 1831. Obviously we don't want to relate
150 years of "banda" history, but it's
good to stress that Sona has a very long band
tradition.
During all this years, the band had the
opportunity to compare itself with many others
bands, both in Verona neighbourhood and in
various next provinces.
In 1992, the band went to Poland and played three
concert in Wadowice (Papa Woytila's born town),
during some events for a "gemellaggio".
In 1996 the band spent one week in France, and
there it has performed three concerts in
Angoulême region.
It took part in an edition of a provincial
meeting and in two regional ones promoted by
A.M.B.A.C. (a bands association): during the last
regional meeting (1999) Sona band won the second
absolute prize and the promotion to the first
