About Sonja Martin Poole
Sonja Martin Poole serves as a resource for organizations, educators and students. She specializes in policy, organization, and program analysis and evaluation, strategic planning and development, and grant-writing . Her research interests include social and economic equity, education accountability, urban economic development, school choice, and organization policy.
Currently Sonja works at the University of California, Berkeley coordinating the Center for Education, Diversity & Excellence, a federally funded research and training center. She is also a professor of Economics, Education, and African American Studies at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, California.
